Ok, that was my next big one. Hometime how long am I expected to stay out? And do I take the truck home with me? With dry Van what are the average miles vs reefer? And are there lots of drop n books on the dry Van?

Usually lots of dnh with van. I was told 1.5 days off per 7 out. OTR starts at .45 with Crete if you have 1 year experience. OTR is also 21 days minimum from what I was told. They have regional and your home every week but that pays .03 less and there's another fleet that pays .02 less but I forgot what fleet that is.

What they didn't mention was the 'take' side of the equation....in my servitude there, when a raise other than a mileage based raise came along, they gave the raise, but took something back. You know Lord Osterguard doesn't part with his cash without a pound of flesh being extracted (and I mean that as 'the Lord of the Manor' not kneel before Tonn-almighty and praise his name..."all hail Tonn...all hail Tonn" -or as many would phrase it ahhhell, Tonn)
-
Did you Tonn was born on a nnonday in nnarch?
-
Nno, I sure didnn't knnow that. Maybe his mom had a speech impediment and she said Tom, but it sounded like Tonn.

You take the truck and an mt trailer home with you. One day off for every week out. A maximum of 4 days off. I used to average about 2700 miles / week for a full week out. I made money at Crete. The downside for me: lack of communication and too much time on some loads. I drove my own truck, which made things more tolerable.

This guy is correct on home time policy and YES you can bring truck home with you.
FYI when you have too much times on loads ASK to see if you can T-Call it or have them move to appointment up.
Works fine for me, done it soo many times I lost count.
They'll sometimes even find you a driver to do a swap out somewhere, done that a bunch also.
It will only happen IF you make the effort. -
I got my preplan this morning with the 00:01 to 06:00 delivery. I asked if this was an all day drop and it is.
I replied back that someone needs to talk to our load planners about this. And that we have drivers that will try to deliver by 6, slide off the road and get fired, when they could have slept in, let the road crews and sun clear the roads, deliver safely and on time.
Plus we can party more at one of the best pollack
bars in Wisconsin. Which I hope is open on dead turkeys day. -
yeah man.. I do not like driving at late night/early mornings during winter time. Too much ice out there

The home time isn't bad but I'm out 5 weeks for the most part
But probably will stay out 4 weeks crete is being a pain about me
Taking 5 days off which I boloney
And crete won't let drivers have a couple days for Christmas
I told them I am taking new years off lol
