A while back someone mentioned the Walmart popup fleet. A few hours later I dropped my load at the DC in Sanger TX and found I was to be a pop-up. While I wasn't thrilled, it's been going ok. Seems I've traded winter weather for Dallas traffic. Fair enough trade I guess. I have to say that so far, the Walmart folks have for the most part been pretty decent. No jack-arses here.

Did that two years ago this month, out of that very DC. Wasn't bad. Is there still a girl with blue hair at one of the dispatch windows?

Watch your pay very close.....3 months after I did pop up...Walmart tried to say they overpaid me $185....after many weeks of back and forth....Crete got it fixed

When SSB first went to Poly...I will admit I had thoughts of going there...after reading his postings about how good it was at Poly...but after reading his latest problems ..Looks like the honeymoon is over for him....He is even talking about maybe quiting.....glad I stayed with Crete...and please SSB dont take my comments as anything personal against you...I dont mean it in that way...just going by what youve been posting lately....I do hope it turns around for you at Poly....or what ever else you may choose in the future...I enjoy reading your postings....you are honest and tell it like it is...good and bad...I respect you for that

You stayed at Crete for over 9 years before it got bad enough for you to leave .... But now with only 13 months at Poly...your talking about maybe going somewhere else ??? ... If you compare the total years of employment before things got bad enough ...for you to think about leaving...looks like overall ....Crete was the better of the two....at least in years worked at both places...before things started going south

in some.way yes, Crete has an advantage. In a lot of other ways, no, they're not better. But, having experienced what I did over there, I don't want to spend the next 8 years beating my head against the wall here like I did there hoping things -might- get better. I learned from my time at Crete...sometimes you have to pop the chute early. In my 1st year at Crete, I had issues...including a major -on the job- injury that was never settled...but the powers that be had a way of stringing you along with just enough positives to make you think things were going to improve. In fact, that is where I got the old adage I used in the previous Crete page about the carrot of hope leading me off another cliff. Or being the donkey in The Little Rascals show, and Crete would dangle the carrot in front of me just so I would keep pulling them down the road, but never quite able to catch the carrot.

It doesn't work that way. They won't notice you were out compliance right away, but usually a few days later, when you are out in the middle of nowhere, just delivered a load, and then they put you out of service.
It's funny how they don't put you out of service before you deliver a load, or are at home. Must be a coincidence?

Got thru the Friday part of Black Friday ok. They're paying a set amount per day. Good thing, spend a lot of time in traffic.i haven't seen anyone with Blue hair yet. By any chance, was she French?
