Same thing happened to me last year but it was the port of Lake Charles, LA. 240 bucks for some dude with a golf cart to "lead" me to the correct warehouse on Port property and back to the gate. But if Crete wants to waste their money so be it...

Well, the 2 Poly threads are amusing today.

My bunk heater went kaput, it'd run an hour and then quit, until I shut it off and turn it back on.

I put it in the shop in Indy and they got me a room at the Quality Inn. Yes, my fellow drivers got us kicked out of the Ramada.
I didn't even put in for breakdown pay,
The Poly drivers would be looking for a new job, but me, I need some time to unwind and drink $6 Stella's , oh well

Which other Poly thread...how could it be amusing without my input :biggrin_2559:.

To be honest, it takes more than just 1 breakdown before we start bailing...maybe like Mev and I, 1 a week...for more than a month. And Bigcat had 2 or 3 trucks leave him on the side of the road, but it takes voice mail messages being ignored repeatedly on top of that before he's considering a move(kinda like Crete's Q/C messages on the weekend)...at least we have the Poly threads to vent on instead of random bar wenches to tell our troubles to...data charges are still cheaper than booze...without the morning after pain.

Every Crete driver I talk to blames Ostergard for the working conditions becoming more and more intolerable,
but it's Coulter whose responsible for the most part. Granted, Ostergard is behind the anti-idling drive, but the CPAP tragedy,
the driver-facing cameras and the transformation of the safety department into Gestapo headquarters are all Coulter's handiwork.
Experienced drivers are leaving in droves and yet nothing will stop Coulter. With the CPAP mess and the humiliation and degradation
of the driver-facing cameras, this mild-mannered "safety" demigod is determined to transform every proud and independent trucker
into a company-dependent #####. Crete owns us now so we must bend over and take it like men! Coulter needs to mount a
camera in his face so he can feel violated the same way we do:biggrin_25522:
