It sure looks like that practical mileage is a farce..that's upwards of 20%...ouch.

I understand that. What's unacceptable is when they tell you that you can't or aren't allowed to.

I have nothing against federal, but I think he's confused. The company doesn't allow you to take home time, but they try their best to get,you home, for, the day. If your AM refused you that, get a new one. I also have a hard time believing your unpaid miles are that high. I believe you need,to,route yourself Better.

Practical route miles are very close to actual miles. Probably within 2-3 percent. If someone has a lot of extra unpaid miles, there is more to the story.

From the time they started practical miles to the day I left, 4% was high for me. And I computed each year paid vs. actual (actual included any personal runs to wally etc., and the miles I deadheaded unpaid to home after my home-load delivered). As much as I BMW'd about almost everything there...the paid miles at Crete were as close to actual as any place I had driven...(before Poly that is)...one of the few positives I experienced there.

I was told on people net that wouldn't get home
I wasn't happy at all I told my asset manager I would stay out but
I wanted off December 30th- Jan 3rd she told me she would try
The fuel routes are terrible here I take there route 70% of the time
I haven't been called on it yet so I choose the route and some times the fuel stop the getting paid is some what close I've checked my checks most of the time

90% of the time, I follow my GPS BLINDLY unless I know I'll need to worry about approved tolls. I'm very rarely off by more than 20 miles, many runs are spot on or within 5 miles of paid. YOU need to check what you're doing, or your calculating wrong.

As for Christmas, unless getting home the 30th is the problem, your AM should not be telling you that you can't get home for Christmas. Talk to her, I think you're misunderstanding the hometime policy. If she says that she won't get you through your home for Christmas day, talk to your terminal manager. You sound like you might want a new Asset manager any way. Everytime you mention miles, they're lower than what I get working 21 day with Crete.
