I finally Googled "Crete Carrier", and clicked the link. Came right up, no problems. Have no idea what is/was/will be happening.....

Everything is all setup with my new company. Rendered my resignation notice today. Leaving on good terms. Supposed to get me home Sunday. I dread change, even when it is clearly needed in my case. Anxiously looking forward to getting my shot at long haul trucking. Currently stuck at Rock Tenn Indianapolis. Not a good sign when the trucks in the doors ALL have their curtains pulled.

    48Packard Thanks this.

xlsdraw Good luck ! I am assuming you have been on the Schaffer side ? I pulled a reefer back in 09 and will NEVER pull one again. Way to much wasted/non-paid waiting for produce or meat loads. Sometime's days......

I dreaded changing companies as well, but now I'm kicking myself for not changing years ago. It is amazing how a change of location changes your outlook and attitude. Best of luck.

    Wishen' the best for ya!

I got an Important Message on the ol' squawkbox. Says: "Your load is being tracked...blah blah blah...let us know if you plan on being late...blah blah blah" had me worried. Man I was looking at the calendar, my phone the load assignment trying to make sure I didn't mess up or something. Sure enough I have plenty-o-time. 488 miles in one day is doable...even on a Crete truck. Good thing is it's one of those 3 stop load where all three stops are the same place :yes2557:

I am Crete for a few more days. New company is Heyl out of Iowa. Long haul reefer outfit. Their hiring area map is amazing. The only state east of the Mississippi they hire from is Florida. Lots of freight going to the NW, Alberta, and BC. Mostly originating in Florida and the Midwest. Sounds like I'll be bounced back to Florida frequently. Average load exceeds 1000 miles. I have a house in SW Montana. Will finally get freight that will get me by there.I was told I could get by there every month if I want to. Usually swap out the Canada bound freight with the Canadian drivers in Montana.
