Last time I was at Columbus, a mechanic turned me in for walking down the stairs into the shop,,

Last time I was in Columbus I got the service writer fired for telling me to take my truck "on down the road" to get an inspection and a "B" service. He had a few strikes against him already.

Well I'm driving a brand new Dodge Ram 2500. Man I hate spending money! And the new trucks are a LOT of money!!

Plus I'm training on to deliver CO2 for my new job. It's cool ;)

I think she missed some of her other meds...like the one that helps keep her alternate personalities in check...:D....

And I always hated being 'advised' on how to do my job by a desk jockey. I would have repeatedly informed her that unless she wanted me to tell her how to drive a desk, she needs to stop telling me how to drive the truck, because any idiot can drive a desk, it takes a special license for an idiot to drive a truck...and unless she had that special license...she was not qualified to drive me or my truck. And if that didn't work, I'd get obnoxious and insulting.

Sustanon, tucker and xlsdraw Thank this.

Well, I would start nice..but most operations people don't respond to nice...and after my 1st 1.5 million, there were few people in the office that had that level of experience and had no legitimate reason to attempt to teach any driver just because they read some "driving for dummies" manual and felt they knew what it was like to do our job...and of those in the office that did have experience (like Kerry), if he spoke, I politely listened because he had actually been an OTR driver...but I refuse to be instructed by trained monkey's sitting behind a desk...which is why I chose to depart from The Almighty Crete. At least over here we have people in management that have been out here and know what truck drivers deal with, so they are less instructive unless the driver is destructive

Well, I dropped the load early, but about 80 miles into my trip to the receiver, Jessica sent this "DENNIS, BREAK TIME HAS ENDED, PLEASE GET THIS LOAD THERE ASAP-JESSICA"
which prompted a phone call , yes while driving, to Tim the OP's man,
Seems like Sustannon got that snarky message before,
Must be her way to irritate drivers.

I figured you'd put you S 10 in a box truck and pull the camper.
I guess new trucks are funner

I think some offensive q/comm banned words would be used if I had to deal with someone like that...as in #####, the only woman that has the right to give me orders was my mom...my ex tried so I divorced her wothless ###...and getting you fired would cost me less than divorce...so quit bugging me or I will park this truck until one of us is fired...and remember...I can get a driving job tomorrow...can you find another job like this that fast?

I'm sure there are some Assets that need to be Managed. But most of us do not need to be Managed. We just need to be properly and efficiently planned. It's like bowling and we the drivers are the Bowler. The Ops people are the Pin Setters. If they'll line up the pins, we'll knock them down. If they fail to line up the pins, then the Ops manager needs to remedy His personnel. If the Bowler fails to knock down the pins, then That Bowler needs a Manager/Trainer. Low level Ops people trying to Manage competent drivers has cost this company an awful lot of competent drivers.
