How many of you tcall loads at drop yards or stay the night at them? Does Crete have a lot of them and is there a list anywhere?

I've been to more than I can count. I don't think there's a list but here are a few I know of offhand:
    Nashville
    Denver
Pacific, WA (behind the Freightliner dealer)
    Fontana, CA
    Stockton, CA
Stanfield, OR (next to the Pilot)
    West Memphis, AR

I've overnighted at all of the above except West Memphis (there's a casino and 4 truck stops within 5 miles) the one in Fontana CA. That one will only let you park if you disconnect, go to the bobtail area and pay the overnight fee (5$ I think). Apparently Crete doesn't want to pay for parking trucks there unless they're empty waiting for a new driver to be assigned.

What's up with the 65 mph Crete company trucks? I was passed by one on flat terrain on I 75 in Florida today. He dropped in in front of me and the on guard registered a consistent 65 as he pulled away from me. Red Freightliner. 5 digit starting with 3 like all the red company trucks. Pulling a dry van. Needless to say, I want one.

I figured the diesel doctor, I've had several 5 digits pass me with ease on the flat ground, and one that got up behind me pretty easy and then slowed down for a long time, finally just passed me with ease.

Seems Tim the OP's man broke the "human code". Now, Tim is a white male, and everyone knows that 2 white males can talk about a woman being on the rag, and it will never be spoke of to a female, EVER! But Donna heard about my statement. I told her that I said that on the phone. I'm real sure she knows the code, and understood.
Two white people can talk about ####### or gooks and neither should ever walk up to that particular race, and tell them what was said.

Been to all of those except the one in Jersey (I avoid NJ like the plague). I'm glad you had a better list of drop yards east of the Mississippi... I just came off of hometime and my brain isn't thinking that far east yet. I'm doing the I-5 loop again at the moment. I left SoCal with a furniture load bound for Portland this morning, probably will get a a paper load back down to SoCal after. Rinse and repeat. I (almost) find it funny that the only time Crete keeps me close to home is when I'm not due for hometime for awhile. Go figure.

it must be a west coast issue with home time...when I was there I never saw the state line of my home state until it was time to go home...unless they mistakenly thought I lived around the Chicagoland area, because that's where they liked to keep me
