This load had a 00:01 to 06:00 on 7-19 delivery time.
I hit my 70 yesterday, so I woke up and left out at 03:00 to run the 155
    Miles to deliver before 6.
I thought about asking if that was the real delivery time, but me and Jessica were chatting about non trucking stuff. (Yep, that's where girls are good.)
I arrive minutes early to a deserted
Place, I put the bills in a mailbox and grab an empty, AAARRRGGGGG!
I could have slept in, then the preplan arrived mere seconds after my empty call, loads tommorow at 13:00, 50 miles away with an all day delivery 60 miles from home on Wednesday. Party in Leavenworth on Tuesday.

Maybe over a cold beer, years ago we had a real life Pakistani at the Little bar in Carlise, PA, no turban either. Now he was great to talk with.

So this is getting annoying... I took a bs 270 mile trip last night off the yard in Romeoville to get out of Chicago (since Clotox refused to give me an empty). Just delivered that load and...

I'm getting sick of the ups and downs here, especially since the ups are fewer and farther between. A high cpm pay rate doesn't mean #### when there are no miles. And no, as much as they'd like me to I'm not going to continue wasting time and productivity on bull•••• like the above trip just because they want to make a buck (while completely hosing the driver). I'm officially looking for a new gig at this point.

There's many Crete drivers getting miles.. I use to be with Shaffer and got miles BUT big but there's some lazy dummies working there, especially on nights and weekends.
While it sucks you have to stay on top of them and blast them.. be willing to do relays etc etc.
When I got on top of them I got the miles.
    Just a suggestion...
    Try again Monday morning

Nights and weekends are terrible. I get as much contact with my regular am as much as possible. I also try to look at my monthly average, not weekly. Hope it picks up for you.

not to mention that it's a live load and live unload with appointments 17 hrs apart...I guess they don't teach the weekend staff the HOS 14hr rule.

Hey dude look around lots of guys miles have dropped at other companies as well. When you paying drivers big bucks you can't haul cheap freight. You are not paid to think what makes sense. You are paid to drive. You could be making .35cpm and having a crappy week. It's otr hang on and enjoy the ride.

I don't know about you Dinomite but I know when things don't make sense I start asking questions. I'm not content to blindly follow orders without question. I did enough of that in the Army (where it was non-negotiable). My bs detector has been going off more and more here recently and I don't like it. I've been OTR now for almost 8 years and I know #### well there are ups and downs but again, there seems to be more down and less up at this point.

The funny thing is I've been thinking about my time at Swift. Despite the (rightfully deserved) horrible reputation they have I cannot for the life of me remember EVER sitting for more than 18 hours without freight. If nothing was in the area they'd deadhead you somewhere that had freight and they did it pretty quickly. I can remember DHing from Laredo to southern CA one time because that was the most productive thing to do. Got paid loaded miles for that trip too (I was running a lease truck at the time and empty miles paid a lot less).

I was just informed by my ASSet manager that there's no freight in OH right now and at least 30 trucks waiting at the moment. Probably will be tomorrow before they'll pull their collective head out of their ### and get us moving. I don't know what the hell is going on but I don't like it. And I don't want to hear a word from Lincoln about my idle time this month. Keep me moving and the truck doesn't idle. Keep me sitting on my ### fighting to work and I'm not going to sit in the truck sweating my ### off (regardless of the fact I could/should lose some weight).

This lack of freight is company-wide at this time of year, spent all day mt Sat sitting in Cheyenne than got a preplan Pu Sun at 1600 ......del today in Idaho Falls, ID, I del this morning at 0700 and been mt for 5 hrs and counting......NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT, I HAVE DONE MORE SITTING AND BS LOADS IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS THAN OF ANY STRETCH I CAN REMEMBER.

*Update---No freight today, must wait until Tues for something to fall thru the cracks. SOB !

I am on a 5 days vacation, and on they 3 i was checking the truck and see a msg"check with safety before you get a load"so in the middle of my vacation i got tested for alcohol and drugs.Since they notified me there was no way around but to go to Concentra asap. They said that i will get reimbursed one day non payed vacation time.I dont think its random thats the 2nd in a 3 months, its just my mls droped so much that it looks suspicious.
