Dying in a truck would be a bad way to go.
Happened to a friend of mine after he left Crete.
He refused to take care of himself.

Until 4mer gave the winning answer, I never even saw the fuel hose. Shows ya' how poor I am, so poor I can't even pay attention.

I should have posted this one
    image.jpeg

Thursday morning I was headed west out of Indy and I see a chartreuse Freightliner Classic with a Landstar trailer going east.
I holler at him on the CB, yep it was him. Ah, a quick chat, he's doing good and staying busy

I emptied out yesterday afternoon in Amana Iowa, they still make refrigerators in America, ended up getting a great load, 1,440 miles total down to El Paso for Monday morning.
Got my laundry done at KC, the place is packed with trucks, I guess they all went home for the weekend because the place is desserted.
At first i misread the load time, thought it read 20:00 tonight, and I turned it down, I didn't want to sit all day and I'm old and go to bed early. He voided it. I went up and parked and relooked and saw it actually had a 7 to 20:00 window for pickup. ARRGGHHH.
I had to grovel to get the load back, oh well, maybe I'll get a load east through Houston so I can check on Stungjoe

@ Tucker and @supersnackbar, took me a couple minutes to find the nozzle with the picture fully blown up. Figured Tucker had something up his sleeve but turned out to be pretty obvious.
U guys have a safe weekend! I'll be following

Welp, just a hair north of El Paso is a big mountain. I crossed it Sunday and stayed at the Pilot at exit 0. The quallcom and Bol had me delivering right by exit 8, but I ended up having to deliver 20 miles north across that hill at a their new warehouse. Ugh, maybe I get extra stop pay, women,
I'm tight on my 70, but not that tight, next load picks up at Socorro on Tues afternoon going 610 miles to Roanoke for Thursday,
I head to the shipper and I hear a new message to drop the empty at a drop yard and bobtail in, no extra pay, so I get to the shipper and the load is ready and I drop my empty there and grab the load.
If they want me to work for free, they're going to have to pay me extra.
To preserve my 70 I had to drive off duty to the Flying J for fuel so I could make it to Van Horn to maybe take a reset.

    4mer trucker Thanks this.
