Crete Carrier - A Year In Review - Fall 2013 Going Forward

Any thoughts on the weekly message? Can anyone report on seeing any DOT dragnets taking down drivers over "excessive edits"? For some odd reason, I find that doubtful.

 

looks to me as if they're covering there buttocks...I have run elogs off and on since my last 2 years at Crete and I have had inspections...but when most see the elog sticker, that part of the inspection is only a question, "are your logs up to date?" I have only had one DOT officer climb up on the step and watch me roll thru, but at my former company (Magnum), our Peoplenet's are fixed to the dash, and aren't that big, so I think he was just pretending he was inspecting my logs...he was probably thinking about what was going to be for dinner when he got home.

My experience has been the same Super. Once had a Mississippi DOT ask that I fax them someplace. Never heard from them afterwards.

Think the line about law enforcement scrutinizing them is total B.S. . It's some broad in logs wanting to tell drivers what to log under the guise of it being law enforcement's idea.
