Whew. One less International in the fleet.

 

Supposedly next batch of new trucks...will include a few Peterbuilts..

 

Interesting.

My Freightliner has 412k on it now. I expect them to take it away soon.

 

Still seeing a lot of the older Crete mid roof trucks..one driver said his was close to 500,000 miles..

 

Have they switched to 100% automatics?

 

All new trucks...will be automatics

 

Crete is also hiring new drivers
..straight out of trucking school...with automatic only...on their cdl

 

Yup. California has a restriction designate E for auto only on a CDL.

 

I’ve #####ed about it here before. It’s why I left Crete.

Sad to say that automatics are appearing everywhere and in increasing numbers. Even see them with frequency here in the Permian basin.

I’m not really sure what the point of a drive test for a new company is if what you’re driving is an automatic.
