Didn't know our inverters had enough capacity to run a window unit.

Plus, nice dent on the curved part of the sleeper

A window unit this small ...uses about 500 watts ...but you'd need to idle truck to run it...so why not just use truck a/c ...unless he has a small generator...on truck catwalk

They've always idle shut down in 5 minutes, that's not new. I've never sat at a light long enough for it to shut down. Even if you do, if you touch the brake or accelerator, it resets the 5 minutes. Seems like some people just look for things to ##### about.

After Wylie took over Moore, they set our idle shutdown to 3 minutes...at 2 it warned you. In certain cities, it sometimes takes 2 or 3 lights to get thru...it would try to shut down more than once. And releasing your brakes then putting them back on just to reset a timer? You have to come off the brake completely, then fully reapply them. With these stupid automated transmissions, by the time you're back on the brakes, it has dumped the clutch and is driving you forward. And what about major traffic jams... you're gonna have to be real careful leaving more room, unless you shut it down then restart every time you're sitting more than 4 minutes. With all the ######## changes in the last 3 months, this company has been downgraded to a bottom feeding trash company, much like Swift, CRE, and Western Express. Any experienced driver who comes to work here now is either just plain ignorant, or has lost their friggin mind.

I could deal with the idle shutdown, but if I'm 8n West Virginia in the winter time and you route me to take a two lane highway to save miles, nope no way

    Rocks Thanks this.

People complain because it’s ridiculous to have to go through a process at a red light. You should have to do nothing but have foot on brake and watch traffic. It’s the principle of it. Take something redundant that’s been done forever and change it because of stupid computer settings. It’s subtle micromanaging through equipment IMO. Set up the opportunity for someone to be a a hill and have this happen and roll backwards into a vehicle. It’s unnecessary risk for nothing.

If the computers are so smart and can programmed any which way, then program them not to shut down at a red light.
