It's all the same just different products.
All are separated at the plant.
Just different products for different trailers but basically the same jobs.
As a driver you pull whatever your assigned. Not a big deal at all. Pay is the same.
I wished I had found this gig 30 years ago.
A great living w good benefits a guy can work and still have a life outside the truck.
    I'd say go for it.

That’s the job I just declined on. Was a hard decision BUT I’m currently employed with a good company and have to much scheduling flexibility to give up. The two days off midweek I couldn’t make work.

My loss, but from what little I’ve seen, and read in here, Linde is a great company. Kabrina, the lady I was pre interviewing with told me to feel free to call in the future if anything changes. Glad to know there’s still good companies out here.

Also about Garland, she said it was mostly DFW metro with occasional loads out but said nothing about overnights. I’m thinking Sherman, Waco, Shreveport, and East Texas.

Oh, really... I'm hoping it's everything I'm expecting it to be.. waiting on that call currently.
I'm seeing nothing but positive.. only major con is the cam... But, that's not even a big issue to me

Depending on the age of their workforce it could be a short wait till you are able to move up...or it may take a while if everyone is younger or people get fired or quit.
Normally without 10+ yrs in you can't get a good start time w weekends off but after a year or two you will most likely get one or the other

I think it will be everything you expect. Go to work, do your job, and go home for a fair wage.

Yea the cam didn’t sit well with me either but being in a daycab I think I could deal with it. The daycab is just a tool to do the job with. A sleeper is a living space, that’s a big difference to me. It was the absolute first thing she mentioned in the phone interview. A lot of people hang up at that point so they just get it out of the way.

Understood! Yeah I was told nights and weekends... I'm not sure what they consider night. Start time maybe 8 or 9pm... But, it shouldn't really matter if your gonna do 12-14hrs a day anyway...
It's going to eventually lead to overnight to the next day. And just like you said, as long as I keep my nose clean and do my job which is what I plan to do.. everything will be good. Unless they find a small fraction of a mistake. I'll make the best of it.

A job is a job.. and this seems like a keeper . Especially if it has a union.

They also stated something about a safety bonus.. 345 dollars monthly.. seems pretty doable
    With a pension after 3 years .

Can't wait to start and find out

I did 62 hours this week. So over 100 hours off. I have Friday and Saturdays.
It's not like you can work over 70 but if you wanted you can bump 70 each week.
Besides that's all compensated hours which includes all waiting time.
If you're looking for a 40 hour week you probably won't find it trucking.
