So I changed the turbo and charge air cooler, and back head gasket, put new oil and filter on
And on start up I'm running 30 to 40psi oil pressure at an idle!? What should I check or is their away to check the sensor? I'm rev it up it won't go over 40 but will drop to about 30psi

Plug a Scan gauge into the J-port to check against the dash gauge readout.

As I recall, the oil PSI sounds about right. I don't recall mine being over 50 at 1500 RPM cold.

I think a hand told me - "They're a high volume, low pressure oiling system".

I think you got some pretty solid answers in the first thread you started. Cummins don't run with high oil pressure like a CAT does. I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Did you run it long enough to get the oil hot and see what the hot idle pressure is?

It stays about the same up to about 45 when warm, when I turn it off a key off the oil pressure gague stays at 40 psi, then when I turn the key on goes to 0 before I start it

Put a mechanical gauge in under the hood to double check the gauge in the dash. Oil galley is on drivers side, I have mine in the last port back just above the starter. Also have another port just in front of the starter to prime the oil system if needed…..

Sounds to me everything is good Cummins run low oil pressure anyway I’ve got 2 m11’s n14’s little brother they both share same ecm n14 and m11 wont even throw a stop engine light until oil pressure hits 8 psi I believe mine at cold runs up to 40psi on start up and runs 38psi 1700 rpm at 75mph hot idle is about 20psi so I wouldn’t worry about it sounds normal to me
