I have been driving for 13 months. Never had any accidents or issues. I started with a new company and on day 4 made a left turn onto a narrow street and a dumb driver comes blowing past me just as my trailer is turning onto the narrow street. I check my side mirror to make sure I am not going to clip him and ran off the narrow road right into the mud. It would not have been an issue any other time, I could have recovered but it had been raining for 11 days I was told and I could not get my truck and trailer back onto the road.

it took two tow trucks and 6 hours to pull me out of the mud while the police closed down the narrow residential/commercial street.

I was not given a ticket as the police officers said I simply was stuck in the mud but of the trailer had flipped, then I would have been given a citation. Luckily that was the case.

I went to a Walmart to sleep for the evening and to get the tandem right tire fixed. Next morning I was instructed to deliver the load, which I did. The load had shifted and the Consignee determined that 40 cases of Redbull were damaged. They said no big deal at all and they had seen worse

I delivered the load and drove back to the terminal only to get fired. They didn’t give me a reason but I understood completely. I was happy I didn’t get a citation and thought my record would be clean for future hires.

A trucker friend told me that the Company would put this on my DAC report and I may be unhireable. Does anyone know about this DAC report?

Yup.... they probably will. Incompetent Administrators.
You avoided an accident from an unsafely driven vehicle. Ended up in the mud. And this is what you get. Brilliant! Absolutely Brilliant!

yes, it goes on your DAC as an accident (i believe) cuz a tow truck or 2 had to be called out to rescue you.

like the other poster, i cannot see why you went off the road, was stopping not an option? and pulling away from the edge not an option?

You’re not unhirable. Research DAC. It’s not the end of the world, especially in this instance.

‘Your record is clean except an employer note. That’s important

Yes, it goes on your DAC report.
    You're hirable though.
Be upfront with potential new job, "I got stuck in mud and was fired."

    Just say...

    "I don't recall"
    "Wasn't me"
    "Hmm, that's strange"
    "There must be some mistake"
"I've never even been to that town"

But yeah, keep it on the road next time and all the time.

    Eddie -

I didn’t mean to go off the road but when I looked in my side mirror, the 3 inches I had on that side of the road went through into the mud. The road was so narrow and I naturally veered right to make sure I didn’t clip him. That was all it took - 3 inches going what - 20 mph, happened very fast. No leeway whatsoever. It was 3 different things that separately were nothing but together, cumulatively, caused this. My inexperience included so four things - firstly the speeding car, then the very narrow road and finally the 11 days of rain. Oh well. I’ll see what happens next... Thanks for the feedback though

    I guess I don’t understand.
They guy would’ve hit you? (His fault)
But you swerved to avoid by driving to the side(Your Fault) right?

Hope you learned a lesson, don’t swerve for anything, stay in your lane and if they hit you it’s their fault for invading your lane.
At least they didn’t give a ticket for “Failure to maintain control of a vehicle.”
