Do they require the experience to be within the last 'X' number of years? I'm coming back after about 5 years off the road caring for my elderly parents. TIA

 

I have no answer for that. I would suggest a quick call or email to a recruiter. I sent an email inquiry to a recruiter about 3 years ago, and was supplied with answers to questions that I never asked. My experience with DHT has been great. If you are interested in getting back behind the wheel, I would highly recommend that you contact them. Good luck

 

That map is basically the one I’d draw if I were to choose shipper/receiver locations. I’m not sure what I’d do without running Wyoming and the Dakotas though. That’d be quite the withdrawal.

 

Yup. I would miss all of those miserable winters and relentless wind 10 months out of the year too!

My last year of OTR (I've been local for a few years now) was one BIG snow storm. I swear I couldn't get within a 100 miles of a mountain pass without having to chain up. I chained up more my last winter OTR than I did all the years prior combined. And, the final kick in the pants that winter was having to sit at the Petro in Reno for 2 days waiting on Donner to open up and when it did open, the chain law was in effect. lol
