    Don’t sit at sorry excuse for terminal waiting on tire, drive on flat, go sit at speedco for 8-10 hrs.

    Running team is something I would have a hard time. Takes an outgoing person to live and work so close with a long term outlook. Especially when not tasked with work. When getting your own rig, math is your friend. If it doesn’t add up, it won’t. Don’t plan being optimistic with future numbers. They are what they are, and you must make changes to make them work. Started on my own in 2021 and adding a second trailer. It’s all in the math.

    The only "Big Mistake" I see is that you remained there for "almost 2 years".
    Seems clear you LIKED THE ABUSE.

    I ONCE, sat on a Dock for over 24 Hours at a Customer Dock in Northern Maryland in 2002, and I wasn't the only Combo waiting. So What. PTL offered a whopping $50.00. I told em to shove it.
    67 is better than 64 or 65.
    YOU controlled WHEN The Truck/Combo MOVED and Did NOT MOVE, so "running recaps for 2 weeks" was YOUR FAULT. OWN IT!!
    Inconsistent Miles and Paychecks obviously stemmed from RUNNING RECAPS.
    You apparently did such NUMEROUS TIMES yet BLAME THE COMPANY for your errors.
    Driver CHOOSES where/when to fuel AND how often.
    When Company States when/where to Fuel, TIME TO LEAVE.

    I worked for the last 2 years O.T.R. for 1 company 2 miles from Home.
    I had 3 Company Fuel Cards, one being American Express. I fueled when and where I WANTED, No Questions. I NEVER went to a shoddy Repair Shop apart from every T/A I unfortunately visited, usually for Fuel when they randomly had better rates.
    I drove ALL TRUCKS like I OWNED THEM even through the Driver Temp Services.

    I don't see much Owner Op material in you and I've worked for some interesting Owner Operators whether Big or Small companies from 1999 - 2018, then locally, Driver Services, for a couple years.

    You might succeed as an Owner Op, just tweak your Blame Game back onto You, since YOU are responsible for the Results.

    Thanks for the reply but to be honest every company I’ve worked for prior would pay after 2hrs if you were on time. Even Schneider paid me but it wasn't automatic you have I had to complain to get it.

    I think they pay detention after 1 hour..... @mjd4277 what's the detention policy over at Marten? I get detention after 2 hrs at Climate but it ain't nothing but 12.50 per hour. On the flip side, I don't really have to worry about that too much over there because most of our customers don't hold us up.
