Hey Drivers, I am normally a very controlled, planned person but I have come to the end of things with a job that may be as soon as tomorrow. It's not my style but things have progressed in a very bad way there forcing my hand. Let's just say it's unavoidable. Has anyone dealt with this at the next employer? Did it make being hired problematic?
I have an interview lined up already, by chance. It is under the guise that I am currently employed by said company which if the status changes may look bad. I will avoid the situation as much as possible, however I am ready with a resignation in hand.

    Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this.

I believe that there are very few companies that receive a notice......it's just part of the game and everyone understands that.
What I wouldn't do is trash talk them to your prospective employer. Just say "we just couldn't see eye to eye", and leave it at that.

Most companies never asked why i was leaving. Or why i left previous job. I gave notice to ones i respected.

Of all the applications that I have ever filled out and the question on the application states, "reason for leaving", I always put down "personal". I have yet had anyone or company ever to "dig" any deeper.

They call me king job hopper, I've quit jobs with a phone call and had next job after next phone call. Loyalty is a sad joke these days, heck if you look at someone crosseyed and they call your boss and complain your boss will fire you in a hot minute, why cause he fielded a negative call.

I feel if it's a negative situation leave before it spirals to point of no return. And I don't care what most say here there's no such thing as the dream job in trucking, you can make any company work for you and sometimes better once you find what you like

I have put "none needed" before. Why bs around. It's the truth. Don't need a reason. At-will employment says so.
