If it doesn't have a torque converter I think I prefer to be the one shifting the gears.

I’d go broke the first month if it went to the shop with the work I do. :biggrin_2553::biggrin_25526::biggrin_2554:

After putting 390k on my last truck I wish this one had an auto. But when I was selling mine and coming to do this all we could do was change the paint.

But he had an auto show up last week. And the guy getting it will be a good test. One thing I noticed was the difference in stamped weight. The truck I drive is stamped a little over 17,200, identical truck with an auto is 16,700 and change.

The OP hasn’t said if his truck was having a mechanical issue or just the light. If he was having issues then they should be able to say why the clutch went at 150k.

The one thing I notice is $30k for a reman versus say $7k for a 18918.

Just the light. I did the whole turn the key in the on position 6 times to reset the computer but the light would come back on. Finally I unplugged the batteries and did the whole drain the capacitor and this time the light came back on after 60 miles. So it’s definitely an issue. I will get the paperwork when all is said and done and will post it on here.

Maybe call the Bank. Skip a few payments, add to the end of loan? Rent a Truck? Try to buy some time. Limit losses if possible.

None of my business, but - are we talking “Borrowing $ to continue “ bad shape? Or just “Ah well, I needed a good tax write off “ bad shape?

OK, I don't believe the clutch kit is backordered, but it depends on the error code if it is even the clutch.

We had a rash of 706 errors with ours, which, it turned out to be the LCA unit on all but one truck that kept kicking out the error.

Hes not concerned about getting it fixed or he would have a part number and be looking for a clutch.

    Feedman and AFC Thank this.
