Professional driver, right ? We're the professionals, 4 wheelers aren't. So we give "an inch" sometimes. (to avoid an accident) Much easier to avoid an accident and get down the highway, I say, rather than crunch the other guy, stop and do paperwork, deal with police/insurance/safety guy. That's trucking....ya' gotta' love it !
tinytim Thanks this. -
It’s easier for them to maneuver around us,than it is for us to maneuver around them.

That's a very good point, Henry.
And in my little car I always am worried if I piss someone off they'll force me off the road. Being in an 80,000lb big rig, I don't have that fear. They try to force me off the road I'll crush them like a bug. -
No one can stand being behind a slower vehicle. So they come around you and right back in front of you.
It's a no win scenario for us. Ain't nuttn we can do about it.
I HATE traffic lights on the freeway. By the time you get to the light. 100 cars have jumped in front of you. Common scenario in Cali. -
So maybe it really is better to be a rock in a stream! Trucks sitting in the middle lane driving slow.
