You didn’t say all that now. I think i might have to fall in line with the others here. Give it a chance. Fedex is a big company. Dude might have just mis-spoke.
In any case over $20/hr for a newbie is #### good money & you’d be a fool to walk away from it. Lol. Unless you know where you can do better.

he might very well have made a mistake. But come on, as an Ops manager, you should know that a newb will have to go through the apprentice or driver training and thus make less.
You just never know who is trying to pull a fast one on you and who isnt. How do you know who to trust? You cant even trust your own family sometimes. Ultimately you have to make a decision which I will by tomorrow @ 12:30 but as of right now I cant. Has left a dirty taste in my mouth whether a mistake or not. And if you dont draw the line at being told one pay rate and being given another, then where on gods green earth will you draw the line at.
A couple other things seemed out of place during the interview. Things I wont go in to detail here. Guess we'll see. -
Take the job...for now. It sounds like an honest mistake but if it wasn't you'll know soon enough.
If it turns out that you don't like the job and don't want to stay, just head on out.
You won't be hurting them any...there's probably ten more guys in the manager's file that he can call to replace you. -
BigDog Trucker and 4mer trucker Thank this.

FXF is a good company. If they are willing to hire you without experience go for it. Probably an honest mistake.
Once at top pay you’ll be glad you took this job.McUzi and Random user Thank this. -
I'm with FedEx Freight and everybody gets paid the same across the board based on their years of service. The 30 year veteran that is just starting with the company starts at the same wage with the guy that just got out of the apprenticeship program, and both most likely will work the dock at most locations. I know those guys are overworked and mistakes happen.... a lot. I almost never defend trucking companies for obvious reasons, but I think he misspoke and wasn't trying to rob you. There's no incentive or kickback for him or anyone else to do so at FXF. Any other company? Absolutely run.
Gearjammin' Penguin and McUzi Thank this. -
