Defining a Load Properly

    pretty much what everybody has been saying but I will spell it out clearly.

    you are paying for experience (and usually that is worth every penny).
    The load is very specialized and requires care in handling both during the loading and unloading process.

    I wouldn’t haul it because it would require the cradling and cribbing be done to yacht transport standards - and then require the appropriate tie down equipment. The last thing you would want is for a guy to drag the 1/2 chains and start stressing the boat in all the wrong places. Boat trailers are set up specifically to support a load like yours and will negate the cost of hardwood cribbing. If you haven’t priced that - buckle up, it might be cheaper to stack it on kilo bundles of cocaine.

    The actual movement of the load is the easy part - I could do it easily.

    remember you aren’t booking a trailer - so stop looking at generic “rates” on places like uship or freight star. All they will do is find you the lowest bidder - not a licensed insured and experienced company. You aren’t shipping a piece of crated machinery or even a bulldozer.
