Always hear dealers wont work on truck if it has been deleted.
But what exactly gets deleted egr,scr,def,dpf,etc... Also how is this done, is a comp just plugged in and software is changed. Or are parts actually take off? How can the dealer tell its been deleted? Why cant they just reprogram it, to be not deleted anymore?

Government mandated b.s. gets deleted and its a good thing. Wonder why government is excluded from all the regulations they force on rest of us....

Depends, some parts accidentally get unplugged and will need to be reprogrammed and some parts accidentally fall off and have to reprogram.. the dealer will know the second he plugs into your truck.....keep the parts that fall off for a rainy day, don’t sell them... they will need to go back on before you trade....
