First I've heard of the trailer tag in the goal message... I forgot that we are suppose to even send it... Haven't had anyone say nothing to me yet...

Is that true you can't have 12volt coolers I never herd of a company not allowing them? I don't drive for Swift but this is the first I have of a company doing this.

One of the terminals had a message on the bulletin board regarding the small inverters and the policy that they are not allowed. In particular it was a problem with the Volvos, some of the drivers were pulling out the stock 5v fuse for the auxillary plug and replacing with 25v which was frying the whole wiring of the trucks. This in turn was voiding warranties which in turn stuff rolls downhill, means you will not be having an inverter in Swift's truck.

Rules are meant to be broken. No way they can expect a truck driver not to have an inverter. Just take it out before going into shop and you will be fine. No big deal.

One thing about Swift is if some dummy screws up we all pay for it. I don't think that is fair. maybe they should quit hiring all the dummies.

You can have 12 volt coolers, but they don't allow anything with a compressor (refrigerator/freezer)

I am starting Swift 3/20/12 and I think I will withhold judgement or comment on Gold Miner's list of things that made him leave.

Pretty much the same list every where if it is not your truck... you MAY get a little more lee way if you want to lease and assume all the risks of the business and make a little bit more money. I have been comparing companies for a while and I have a list:

    1) Do they mess with your pay and reimbursements?
    2) Do they generally deliver on the miles they promise?
    3) Do they make you drive dangerous equipment?
    4) Do they fix your equipment or just get you on the road?
    5) If someone is being unfair can you go over their head in a professional way and get it resolved?

For what I have read, Swift can answer those questions better than a lot of companies AND DELIVER.
