They are now selling these reefer trailers. I have a question maybe someone here could answer. I'm thinking about buying a 2013 England reefer. The reefer unit is a TK 230RR. Would a 230 RR be okay for road use and what is the difference between 230 and 230RR. New to reefer, just looking for a good reefer trailer. Thank you in advance.

    Why bump a 3yo thread?

Why buy an old RR Reefer anyway?
Call TK I'm sure it's OK.

    I wouldn't buy a CRE Anything though.

I bumped the thread because it was the only one that came up in a search for TK230RR. I was HOPING someone with more experience would be able to help out. Maybe I was asking too much. The reefer unit has less than 4000 hours on it and I was wondering if RR trailers were a lot heavier, which would cut down on available loads, or if they were basically the same weight. I would also like to know the difference between a RR unit and a regular unit and if RR units were okay to use for over the road. If you could or would help, I would appreciate it. If you can't or won't help, disregard this post.

Thermoking or the Dealer should be able to tell you the real difference between a 230 and 230RR.

As for weight. I don't see why the Dealer wouldn't let you take it across a CAT Scale.
