That's an interesting one. That fixes the washer problem, but the dryer?

The wipe down with vinegar maybe. Man I feel for @gekko1323 - like "Who invited THIS DARNED TRUCKER?' :)

Give it a spritz or two of gasoline..if it’s a NG dryer you’ll get rid of the diesel odor pretty quick :)

Use the coke first, and you don't have a dryer problem.

Washing machines these days require cleaning. At least mine does. And has cleaning mode.

The product is called affresh. Box of 6 tablets. Cleaning the washer. If it don't have cleaning mode. Just use fullest load mode and drop a tablet in the drum. You'll have to look for it. Walmart had one box for dishwasher. Another Walmart had one box for washing machine. So it might be hard to find.

Cleaning dryer. And maybe use a fabric sheet. Don't know if there's any that can eliminate odors but it might scent it. Make sure the filter is clean of lint.

Without cleaning the washer..you're probably wasting your time on dryer alone.

In the future, pour Coca-Cola (original only) directly on the diesel fuel stains and pour some in the washer, this will remove the odor after a few washes using this method.
As for the dryer, soak a rag in Coca-Cola and try wiping down the entire inside of the dryer. Then clean in up,and see how that works.

I would take a towel. Make it wet and rub baking soda into then into the dryer.

    The_vett and gekko1323 Thank this.

I would simply buy her a new dryer. She even might even stop putting your head in the toilet for swirlies.
