It's actually more than that. Simple mild steel is good for 70,000 pounds per cubic inch. Kingpins may or may not be made of higher carbon steel approaching 90,000 pounds per cubic inch. KIngpins are pretty thick so they are probably good for at least 200,000 pounds or so.
