was just on 99 today from norcal to long beach. 65 mph most of time and saw 3 trucks were pullled over and i think i was lucky. im getting use to the tolerance of extra 9 mph or less but wont be doing that again though. not worth it, only gonna get to the destination insignificantly faster. im sure most of us do get that adrenaline while driving and we all become a super trucker lol but keep it under control and be safe. im starting to learn how to manage that high to keep my mind stay sharp and focus until the 8 hour break

okiedokie and scottied67 Thank this. -
60's fine......61, you're busted. (driving for a living in Ca. 56 yrs) You know I'm right ^^^^^. The trick is to blend in, not stand out. Your free advice for the day.
BUMBACLADWAR, Chieftains, Lepton1 and 2 others Thank this. -
Lepton1 Thanks this.

I think that pretty much applies everywhere in the world, except perhaps the Autobahn in Europe... -
But if you get a speed ticket make sure it's for 15mph over. It still won't give as many points on your CSA as a out headlight.
Lav-25 Thanks this. -
I keep it at 60 all the time. Never been bothered.

CSA points are ONLY awarded by a CVSA/MCSAP/DOT officer for speeding in conjunction with violations on the North American Standard Inspection form. You do not get CSA points by a simple speeding ticket. There are some exceptions on this rule, but these exceptions are rare and not part of general enforcement actions. There are at least 20 discussion threads in here where this has been debated ad nauseam. CSA points are FEDERAL data and general "tickets" don't get reported to the Feds. The NCIC and other things yes, but not the FMCSA safety database.

58 to 62 depending on location.
If your running above the limit, passing other trucks, in and out, tailgating and for the most part stoopid.
Your gonna get an invite to the roadside disco. -
To answer this question....I've set the cruise at 65 every time I've ever gone out there in the past and guys have passed me going faster. It's like I always say, it's only illegal if you get caught. Sometimes you're lucky sometimes you aren't.
