Following a Youtube trucker written up for 2 ticky-tack (debatable) safety violations caught on camera. If there's a 3rd he'll be fired. Got me thinking (with so many dash cams out there and many more coming); if that were me I'd quit before I was fired. But will the 2 previous violations be put on my DAC report? Just wondering how it will effect me finding another job if it's on the DAC. Hypothetically speaking.

The actual dash cam violations wont. If he does get fired and the company uses DAC, the reason listed on the report will more than likely say violating company policy or something like that.

Well if you use a dash cam and you post it on social media, it can come back to haunt you if you do something illegal.

    What were the violations?

Is he driving and talking into his camera? If so he should be fired, that ####'s a tragedy waiting to happen.

If he gets fired, they most certainly list the reason for dismissal as "safety violations."

He quits now, they may not do anything; that is not likely though. They will probably list him as "ineligible for rehire, safety violations." Or the may list the individual safety violations.

Any preventables will most certainly be listed separate.

I don't remember what the first one was for but he says the recent one was he was ask to move his truck at a shipper and he was looking at his phone when they ask him to move. So he moved it and didn't put his seat belt on and I assume didn't put his phone down. Guy actually seems like a decent dude from the few videos I have watched of his he just works for swift. I would have left when they put the camera on me lol
