I was working on a little something a few years back, a multi-function glove. Didn't quite work out...

My hand used to cramp up bad while welding with the LN-25 wire feed welder. What I realized was that I was squeezing the trigger very hard when it only needs a little bit of pressure. See because i was trying to keep my arms very steady to lay down good beads but my mind would tighten up all components of my arms, wrists, and hands/fingers. After a while you relax and realize it only takes a little bit of pressure to hold the steering wheel but your mind is wildcat like, ready to pounce and take the wheel if something happens. .

    Nope.

With that said, a pair of yellow gloves from Walmart is something to consider. I used one for years with the auction house, getting into hot cars that are really hot. The gloves bypass that problem.

In the old days with the old iron, you wore gloves so that the viberation of the road that goes straight from tire directly to you no air ride anywhere. All spring if any. does not hurt you too much. And when it did a beer or favorite spirit drank slowly took the owie away. This was before the 1994 CDL and associated laws against drinking and drugging around trucks.

Generally your hands got tough because they have to. Once the bleeding and blisters go bye bye, your hands will do well when they get tough.

Today's trucks have gotten really.. luxury beyond compare. If your hands are hurting in one of those palaces... then maybe you are actually working for once. That is a good thing.
