Do you honk at kids?

Let's be real. The only reason ANYONE ever becomes a trucker is to blow the air horn at everyone who slows them down for a second. Then these companies try and twist us and make us "professionals".

Can you even hear a city horn over the engine?

Uber driver starts coming into my lane... air horn

Grandma starts pulling out in front of me... air horn

I see my co worker... air horn

What the hell is the point of a city horn? My truck is loud as hell, you couldn’t even hear it.

 

No I was in front of Bellevue in quiet zone trying to get out of NYC once, a short bus passed all wanting a toot.

I gave them the city horn. City Police on corner looked at me and thought it over and smiled he used his arm while we were all at his light TOOOT.

Now the kids were happy. Hospital was not. Time to go!

 

That's like my fake 'roger beep'.... screws 'em up. Lol.

For "pretty women"? Out of respect for my wife, no way!!

 

I used to. These days I just put my hand up to the horn and do the motion without actually pulling it just because I think it's funny to go along with him and bail at the last minute plus I don't want to scare anyone and cause an accident.

 

Little kids, not teenagers or young adults.

 

I use my city horn in washout bays to warn the employees I am about to roll. If I am parking or pulling out from next to someone doing a PTI, I will also beep the city horn first and watch them to be sure they look at me, then give them a chance to move.
