Hi. Here’s the scenario. I am on the load that will be unloading on Monday. I have enough time to get to the receiver on Saturday and park there. Planning to restart my 70hr clock till Monday. There is no truck stop in a ~50 mile radius, I don’t want to waste time to drive to that place on Monday. I prefer to exhoust this weeks hours and start my clock already there on Monday, especially that they tend to take their time unloading.

Now. Here’s the hard part. I won’t just sit there 2 days. I want to go to the gym and a restaurant. There are no sidewalks, only access to where I wannia go is thru interstate, a 7 mile roundtrip. No uber available.

I will bobtail to and from. Should I log this as personal conveyance and show that I, in fact did drive the truck during my restart, or just log out, and keep my log clean, like nothing ever happened? In that second case scenario I would end up on Monday with 7 miles on my log not accounted for...

FYI, my company doesn’t give a rat, unless I don’t get a log violation. They don’t provide any instructions.

What would you do and why?
Thanks in advance for your input.

You must activate PC so that you don’t get the nagging “unassigned logs” message when you log in again Monday.......

When I read the thread title, I thought the op was addressing female drivers.

Also be sure to restart PC if you stop and turn off the truck otherwise it will put you back on duty and screw up your reset.......

That's what personal conveyance is for. I'm on Peoplenet now and for PC you have to log out and add PC to the remarks. I had Qualcomm before it had a PC line 5 option. As long as the company ok with it then you good to go.

I had one place said I could log 120 miles or 2 hours PC. My current company is like anything over 20 miles they don't really like. The D.O.T has no limits to PC

LOL. Hah, I see, it’s in did confusing.
If some ladies were interested but didn’t dare to ask, at last I asked on their behalf I guess .

It’s an AOBRD system in my truck. It doesn’t track unassigned driving. The only trace on Monday will be the odometer. I guess, I could also put 30-45min on duty after I arrive on Saturday and before going off duty, and remark some yard movements, as it doesn’t count those miles too... This would let me explain miles to DOT in case... better not.

But does it make sense to do all this in the name of clean LOOKING restart?

I’m just affraid, that some idiot would question my pc later and said that ge is not accepting it, bc I drove 15 minutes...
