Do you OTR reefer guys really make a good living?

Customizing loads to fit warehouse needz means more truck loads. There is a reason why shippers load freight to the tailgate even though its over 40k. They dont care if you get a ticket on a bridge law

 

But to answer the header . I have always leased to a company at 70% all my properties (2rentals) and toys are paid for. Now im paying for new truck and pole barn for truck and toys. So i have made money. I have never owned my authority. Always leased on

I don't have a reefer, but couple of my friends do. They usually run the whole 70.

 

10,000 a week is not bad at all if you can average around 2.25 a mile.

Month of December i avg 3.58 loaded 3.08 Empty and loaded . 30k on 8800 mi all miles based on odometer readings. Fuel i paid 2.18gal ( leased on with discounts) . 7 days off . I had 2 loads dropped by brokers that cost me a day. Did 2 34hr restarts. Holiday freight paid this month . January slow start but i did get a load for 700.00 on 31miles. Straight thru. Driver broke down load went to a crossdock . I finished the run. Best part i deadheaded across the street from a tstop. Got lucky
