Is this the bad news parking thread? Ok. The Big Cabin Truck Stop just blocked off 50% of their available parking a couple of weeks ago. I would say over 100 parking spots are gone. The result? Every.single.truck.stop. between Durant and Big Cabin are now maxed out and tripled stacked at night. See for yourself.
Do you park wherever you can at truckstops?

Imagine that. You trip planned properly like a true professional. You pulled into your previously determined truckstop to shut down, do a post trip, and... everyone is parked there already! In fact, all the ends are packed with 3-4 extra trucks. Even the scale.

In the end whether you have hours or not. If your tired to the point of risky at best get your ### off the road and park in the #### fuel island if nessacary. So what youll be talked about big deal beats the alternative

After being blocked in by park where I want drivers in the past few months, one of whom refused to move until the LEO's showed up, I have yet to park in a non-designated spot. I always have a plan a, and a plan b, and depending on the area a plan c. I don't care if you park in a non-designated spot as long as you don't block anyone in or out, move when others need to move out, and don't cry when you get hit by someone trying to get around you.
I was in the Indy TA a few months ago, guy parked in a non-designated spot, and had his hood realigned and remodeled, he was mad at the other driver, fist fight, and the cops show up. Non-designated driver cited for parking in the red, and the cop told the guy who hit him to be sure to tell his insurance company the other guy was not legally parked.RustyChops41, Big_D409, tucker and 3 others Thank this. -

I talked to my mail hauling buddy about it. He says the Indians that owned that closed down Smoke Shop have been trying to put a casino in there for two years. The Indians may have pulled it off this time. Right now, it's just pure speculation.
Oh, and there was a decent amount of parking on 69/ 75 last night. Not as bad a situation as I first thought Saturday night.Last edited: Apr 13, 2018
