Some companies allow pets, some don't.

Pets may soon be a thing of the past.

Distracted driving is being targeted to a high level these days, and a pet presents a very real danger of distraction.

    To the OP...
Yes, many drivers bring their dogs and cats along. Your company may not allow it for company drivers, but O/O or L/O drivers usually can.
I'd try to avoid the fish tank however. Not much room in the sleeper, and the truck can really bounce around.
One good bounce can send my entire DVD collection flying all around the truck. I'd hate to see what it would do to a fish tank.

Companies do allow pets, you just have to look.I have a small dog and if I was to go back OTR I won't drive for a company that doesn't have a pet policy.Alot of the smaller companies do.They don't have the policies like the bigger companies do and it depends on the driver whether those small companies would allow that driver to bring a pet with them or not.My last small company let me have my dog but not another driver.Alot of the bigger companies that don't allow pets you can blame drivers for that. There pet totally destroyed the cab and ruined it for everyone else. Then other companies like where im at now have really nice trks, most are new and less then a yr old.So I can't say that I blame them for not allowing pets.I drive locally for them.

Yes, many companies allow them but they charge a fee.

Con-Way, US Xpress, Swift, to name a few.

Also, a lot of people sneak their dogs in the truck.

They only charge a fee if they know about it.

Heard a bullhauler had a fight with a DOT cop at the scales when he was accused of having an old cow in the passengers seat. The bullhauler wouldn't accept an apology either!
