Here's the summary: Truck was in the shop, supposed to be ready in the morning. He got a hotel room. Posted here about it while he was drinking at the hotel bar. Stayed up 22 hours and got drunk enough that the room was spinning. Got up five or six hours later but thankfully for every one else on the road that morning his truck wasn't ready. A day or two later he got a load back to Oklahoma, had a meeting with the boss. Next thing you know he's on a bus back to New York.

It's one thing to get drunk when you're off duty for a day or more. It's another to get so drunk that you get the bed spins knowing you may be driving the next morning. And it's even another thing to do that and blab about it in a public forum and then double down when other drivers call you on it. He was young, dumb, and full of ###.

Nothing wrong with getting hammered on your off time. But really poor judgement if you do it without allowing sufficient time to sober up before the start of a planned shift.

Posting about it on a public forum adds another level of dumbassness.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
