    I had no desire to hit the road when I first got my license.

    15 years later I still have no desire to hit the road. And I just did 6 years.

    It's worse now then back in the day. And all the mom and pops closed up. Makes hitting the road less desirable.

    I spent my whole life driving, 27 years of it as an owner operator. Sold out last May, I have no "itch" to return to driving. I do enjoy the forum and being around "old" trucks but driving; no, that's gone. I'm a young man @ 63

    ELD's regulation's and traffic over ruled the "itch"

    I don't think it ever goes away. I've been back and forth oodles of times since 2003. It's almost like that hot #####y ex girlfriend that you can't live with and can't live without. The sex is amazing, but 60% of the time she's in a bad mood and it miserable

    If you wanna get back in the trk go for it.I personally don't miss it at all,I think going local made me hate it.For some it's in their blood but I would say in today's trucking the majority of veterans absolutely hate it.

    It was in my daddy's blood, it used to be in my blood. But like I said ;
    ELD's, regulations and traffic over ruled the "itch" "hate it" is not to strong a word for this veteran.

    homeskillet, ‘Olhand and pattyj Thank this.
