We seem to get that question a lot for some reason. Exrayman4000 is correct; we are still on paper logs.

We have worse than Elogs, we have a safety department that comes down on you hard for cheating or trying to cheat on your paper logs. Elogs are an expense we don't want or need. Each time you turn your key on or off, and every 30 mins or so your truck sends a signal that must match up with your paper logs. Failure to take a full 10 hour break gets you another 10 hours off the first time, 24 hours off the second time and dismissal the last time. If you plan on running illegal then USA is not the place to come.

The safety guy on the last day of orientation told us that we virtually have elogs now. We as drivers still have to use the paper logs but everyone in van buren has all of our stats on their screen. So basically he said that the company has elogs through their satellite but the drivers still use paper logs. He felt that eventually we would go but no talk about it for now. I asked about the HOS score on csa and if that would push for elogs and I was told that most of the companies that have or went to elogs went for high accident reasons and not HOS reasons. Not saying that this is all true but just what I was told this week.

They never said anything to me about my logs. But then "again" , they only ran me close to my 70 once or twice all year. Sometimes I would have to do 2 restarts in a week. Dispatch issue.
