Takes 15 days to get a copy of the report. He's only been driving for about 90 or so. That leaves a max time of 45 days of his driving career on that report he got. The most likely explanation is simply it hasn't been added yet. 45 days would set some types of speed recorded for the mega's I know about. And that's the best case, if he has both wrecks on day 1.
Don't Know if This Is The Right Decision or Not. Any advice?

If you can't use the advice, or choose not to, just scroll on down and ignore it.
You haven't been in trucking long enough yet to be arguing with anybody.Hatt91, homeskillet, LtlAnonymous and 2 others Thank this. -
Couldn’t read the whole thread. But make sure you know the consequences of leaving early in the contract you signed. (Schneider Gabe two months to pay whatever you owed before they collected and took action. I served my time but it was good to know my options) Before you leave take pictures of any and all safety data they have on you up until this date(when I left Schneider we had a score card that had all incidents on it if you had any.) So they can’t add nothing to it when you leave. And when you do leave clean the truck and take pictures and leave them a message on a company devices of you cleaning and leaving it. And park it at a company approved location

Did your current company say for sure the other stuff would be counted as accidents?. If you didn't have to sign any acknowledgements or have to undo any corrective training then they may not have considered them serious enough, especially if they don't show up on your DAC.
I have had truck damage where safety said it was an avoidable accident and would be put on my DAC yet there was nothing on there when I checked. -
I also notified the company I was considering as well abut the accidents. Maybe I can at least learn how much time I need to put into being accident free until I can get a decent job elsewhere. Don't want to be stuck making peanuts for my whole Trucking career bc. Of a rocky first month of driving.Redtwin Thanks this. -
Like I suggested apply to other companies listing everything that way you dont have to worry about anyone finding out anything and any offer made to you will be legit.
DARKNIGHTRUCKER Thanks this. -
First...the incidents you mentioned are just that INCIDENTS, not accidents. Pothole issues (especially when another truck, same company, is already deep in the issue and you are not the only truck it happened to. It sounds like you clipped another DROPPED TRAILER, if that is the case, you are the only witness. So drop it, learn from it, and don't offer information to a prospective employer that isn't documented on your DMV or any other reporting agency.
As for your DAC report (many companies don't bother with DAC since there have been many cases of "employer retaliation" without merit.
If there was no accident report completed, by either company or law enforcement agency....IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!
Propective companies are required to verify employment....but that is all they can ask...Did the driver work for you? They cannot (by law) ask about internal incidents or accidents not documented as above stated. Only to verify your employment history.
Be careful, most tuition reimbursment is for "first company after schooling"...so check real close if you can get reimbursement from any companies after your first. Biggest thing...don't beleive what a recruiter tells you...get everything verified in writing, and don't sign or agree to anything in a contract environment without getting legal council.
Best I can tell you...move on to the next company, but keep the problems you encountered at PAM in your mind and learn from them, don't repeat them.LtlAnonymous and meechyaboy Thank this. -
Updates:
- Told the company I was about to go to about the accidents . They told me they would put my orientation date back to October and then I could join up with them . That's not bad
- My pay rose from .30 cpm to .35 cpm effective as of today . I won't see the change until 2 weeks more (since this week's pay and next week's pay are based on miles I ran at the .30 cpm ).
- I got officiall pay summaries from my employee profile at PAM. Per diem was in both my last 2 paychecks. It basically equates to netting paychecks slightly more than what I gross per week.
- now the issue is simply miles. getting 3000 miles = 1050 paycheck. Getting 2000 miles = 700 . (At .35 cpm). If they keep me on this dedicated route I'm supposed to get minimum 2000 miles paychecks unless I run over 2000 . So I really shouldn't be making less than 700 a check in 2 weeks and beyond.Speed_Drums Thanks this. -

I've decided to just stay until I've gone a year after the last accident. Which would be about July 1st 2021. Then I'll apply to more Companies with better cpms and be upfront about my incidents.
Interesting you used the word "incidents". The person at the company I was about to go to used the same word even though I referred to them multiple times as "accidents".Last edited: Aug 12, 2020
