Recruiters get paid by the warm bodies they put in the seats. Of course they'll lie and tell you anything you want to hear. Veteran trucker see recruiters for what they are. Some recruiters could sell an air conditioner to an eskimo. Greenhorns/newbies you've been forwarned. Knowledge is power.
I worked over a month at Barr-Nunn as a owner operater as sotheast regional. The only runs I got was in Ohio and was not paid for the miles run out of my region. They stole over $1,500.00 this I can prove and I am thinking about taking a class action suite against this company. BE WISE! DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY!!
I didn't make it through orientation as I was able to see the crap in detail. Therefore, I admire the ones that do not have the ability or aptitude to read between the lines. It seems to get me in trouble a lot.
MMM,Thats funny. Seems your inability to stick to something seems to be holding you back.Still making plenty of money here. You can't tell how a company is going to work out by going to orientation. Glad you didn't stay. That leaves more money for me to make!
I'm glad you stayed at this lousy company also. Either way, I'm glad your still there. So stay and make your $200.00 to $300.00 per week and be happy. I perfer to make enough money to pay my bills and put food on the table for my family.
What are you talkin about?? I'm making $750+ every week. It might have to do with the region I live in. I've never had a check for under $500 at Barr-Nunn.And that was around the holidays. Did you use to work for Barr-Nunn? Or did you just show up and leave at orientation too??
I worked at BARR-NUNN for 2 years so I do know the in's and out's of the lousy company. If you are making that kind of money with them, more power to you. My experience with them was: 1. They lied from jump street about the pay. 2. They lied about the lanes I would be running. 3. When I called management and the owners of the company, they could have cared less about my concern's. 4. I almost went bankrupt trying to work with the company and that was the last straw. No as you can see from above, I did not leave at orientation, I did give them a chance to live up to their promises, which they did not do. So I will stand behind my original statement about BARR-NUNN! "DON'T WALK, RUN FROM THIS COMPANY."
