Did you have to do a Ishihara color test?

I have a video chat interview on Wednesday. However, this process is in a race with an opportunity that presented itself over the weekend that COULD be a better opportunity in the long run. We'll see how each goes, i suppose.

Best of luck either way you go. I was looking for a great company & great pay. DOT delivered on both of those points. I worked the 5/2 traditional delivery position throwing groceries. 1st yr was 86K, 2nd yr was 96K. Returned to a previous career to get my pension & early retirement. Working PT @ DOT currently, return to full time after my early retirement from my current job.

Great news on being hired. I’ll actually be through Mt Sterling tonight, dropping off about 30k of potatoes lol.

Good deal. Starting any job is stressful but they do a great job of orientation and training. One day at a time. They feed you well too.

Did you have back hauls to the DC after making your deliveries? I assume some drivers have to bring product back to the DCs for redistribution. How does that work with DOT? Are there 3 AM appts at food warehouses that take 6 hours to get loaded?

In most cases you’ll have a back haul to a DC either a live load or a drop trailer. Appt times vary with customer and a break down delivery can take 1-10hrs. Live loads average 2-3hrs for the most part.

Did my interview yesterday via phone thanks to a technology hiccup on their part. Received my John Deer letter this morning saying they went with other drivers. Their loss. Thanks for your folks insights!
