@double yellow what adventure will be next?

 

That sucks Jeff. Sure not as much fun out here as it was a few years ago. I've thought about it a lot lately but I'm one of those stubborn guys that refuses to see myself doing anything else. My standing rule has always been the day I had to borrow money to keep it going was the day I put a 4 sale sign on the truck. It'll take a lot worse than the past 2 years to get me at that point.

 

Dang it... That's pretty much the truck I'd spec for myself, except I'm not ready to buy for another year...

 

Are you willing to share what your next move is @double yellow ?

 

My guess:

 

This seems awful sudden without warning. I did the same. In your case though, did something happen or put you over the edge? In my case it was my old job really needing me back and I was ready to throw the towel in.

 

I wouldn't think so, loadboard has been sucking for quite a while now.

Although my question to @double yellow is, have you considered keeping at least the truck around until the economy comes back? It will most likely be next year but those who are ready to jump back in it will be in a position to make some good money. There's alot of people going under right now.

 

I have been in a bad spot with mine, spent all my money keeping it going. Currently locked down at a shop because i didn't have the rest of the money to spring it. I should be getting her back this week though.

 

I can't help but think of the moment in Forrest Gump where he stops running, turns around, tells the followers he's tired and going to go home.
