I agree, it’s not fair in the slightest. A good example of why I say the things I do regarding speed can be seen in that huge settlement Werner had to pay recently out in West Texas. Their driver did nothing wrong but a car crossed the median and hit him in rainy weather. That attorney argued, successfully, that had the Werner driver reduced his speed in rainy conditions the accident wouldn’t have happened. The guy was only doing 65 mph, 3 lanes and a median away. They’re appealing the case and it should be overturned. Or, in Canada recently, there was an accident involving a 4 wheeler in snowy conditions; that attorney argued, successfully, that the driver should not have been on the road in those conditions. Again, multi million dollar settlement and it was the car that lost control and hit the truck.
The writing on the wall is that no matter what, you’re going to be on the hook unless you put yourself “beyond reproach.” That’s why so many of this mega carriers do things most of us roll our eyes at. They are trying to put themselves beyond reproach in the event these things happen to counter the ridiculous logic these attorneys use.

I hold people up everywhere and I don’t care. Focus on you and doing a good job. Planning a passing maneuver is simple and if they can’t do it, that’s their problem. Even at 60 I have to pass people on the interstate. I look ahead, 15 and 7 rule, watch for a hole, I speed up a little, and merge back over nice and easy. When you see a truck flying up behind you and they get stuck there, it’s there own fault for not paying attention and planning out their passing maneuver.

i spoke the truth, that a few others DID agree on...

you came off as a Billy Big Rigger, what did you realistically think was going to happen..??

good luck to you, and your short driving future (2 years as you said earlier)

I've seen worse bro. I'm from Detroit. I've seen people shot 4 less. Like going too slow or cutting someone off.
