Driver raises may be coming....

All of us young and middle age truck drivers we are in a good spot right now till self driving trucks arrive.

 

don't count on it...haha...

Boo Hoo, my heart bleeds for them. You know Mr. Bigshot at Swift isn't living in a mobile home (not that there's anything wrong with mobile homes). I fear the only raise you'll get is standing on your deck plate. It's good to hear the word is getting out about America's truck driver shortage.

 

I think the average age for a trucker driver right now in the country is 55, how much sooner are they dying compared to other people in similar industries.

I trained with this company back in 2011. I lasted about 3 months before I took a bath in the training money I owed them and went elsewhere. Pay raises mean nothing when they short the drivers on payroll, or run such shoddy equipment it's tough to get descent miles. The company needs to be reworked from the ground up.
