That's getting to be a bigger problem when I go to back into a spot or a dock door, people just walking right into my path without even looking to see if the truck is moving, especially in truck stops. And 9 out of 10 times they are too busy gazing at their phones, and with the #### ear buds on.
Did my daily trip through Reno today. Stopped at TA and talked to the manager she said that the lady that got run over was "Doing ok". although she didn't have more updates or details. That is great news, from what i witnessed Sunday it is wonderful news.
Yep. We were all taught in kindergarden that you don't walk in front of the bus until the driver says so. Common sense.
My hope is her leg while run over was saved with a replacement artifical bones. As long as the limb gets circulation, the limb will survive.
Reason one when i back up I have my windows down, radios off. Reason one when I pull out of a fuel island I do slow and easy, looking both ways multiple times in a few seconds. You never when those few seconds will save a life, and with windows down you can hopefully hear if someone or something is behind you.
I always make it my own policy to never move my truck when someone is near it...just so that nothing does happen
