Morning, Afternoon, or Evening to all who read this. I'm starting my CDL training for Driver Solutions(USA Trucks) in Indianapolis March 7th. I've read mixed reviews on this school but like someone said you have to put forth the effort to reap the rewards.
I posted to see if anyone else was going to the same school in Indianapolis, IN on March 7th. I'm flying in from out-of-town for the duration of the school which is 3 weeks. New to the area and don't have any means of transportation. If anybody would consider driving me to and from school, I'd be willing to give gas money for the duration of the training.
I've been unemployed for a year and this is my real and last chance to get my life going. I'd really appreciate it.

I was hoping to start on the 14th in Indy. Everytime I call Melissa they get a little info then tell me to call back the next day. Did this happen to anyone else and if so how long did it take before you started class?
-
I'm shooting for March 21st atm. I have to call Derek back tomorrow and see what he has to say, shouldnt be any problems since my MVR and back ground are clean. I'll report back if anything changes. So far so good. Good luck to you all!

I just say stay on top of them and they WILL work with you. Also don't forget or leave out anything on your application(felonies/problems with heart/up-to-date blood work if you have a problem pertaining to that). They won't allow you to continue with the school's program if they are having a tough time with your application. The class I'm currently in started with around 40-45 people. We're now down to 25 and some are still being dropped(2 today). And remember if you are from out of state to read the Indiana Operator License Manual(Ch. 2,3,4) You HAVE to surrender your previous states license to get anything going with your CDL. Finally...the BMV(DMV) needs any kind of bill/W-2/Taxes(NOT Tax Transcript) with your address that matches your contract with Drivers Solutions. It HAS to be from within 60 days from the month you are currently in. Trust me and double-triple check that whatever you bring has some sort of date(60days) on it. Like I said stay on top of them and do your best to get in. It'll change your life and perspective of truck drivers.

Going into my 2nd week at C1 in Indy. Been pretty easy so far, everyone here has been really nice. We have lost around 15 people out of our class so far. Im ready to get in the truck this week and move on from this school. I'll update next week, hopefully i can pass my cdl test this coming friday, and be done a week early.

Well i take my class a cdl test for the state at 11:30 tomorrow. Can't wait to get out of here, and get down the road. C-1 was an ok school, but its not for those that can't catch on quickly. They tought me the minor things i needed to know. Since i have been driving big trucks for a while, the only thing new to me was the trailer.
And its alot easier to move around than a 17ft boat trailer is lol. All in all i met some good people, and the instructors i had were great. If you choose this school, do your research! And learn the pre-trip before you even show up, that will put you way ahead of the game.
