Today I am going to wear my sneaks, pair of wranglers, and a Harley Davidson t-shirt. Will this be acceptable to the truck stop fashionistas?

Black slacks, black dress shoes, a very nice collared white shirt, a nice necklace and a black cape with red satin liner.

    What else would I wear?

I wore sneakers back then,as they were comfortable to drive in,that pic is from 1974. But I carried a clean set of boots if I had to look nice. Have never owned a pair of sandals in my life, would worry to much about smashing my toes, would the stuff I do. Flip flops were for dirty showers. To the OP,I used to stop regularly at the 76 at T-5,in the 70's,80's,had decent food.
Yeah, and I remember when the only language you ever heard,in truckstops,CB,anywhere, was English!

Well those sure were the work horse in their time. And as I recall, the food was pretty good at T5... the place needed an up grade but it was always busy and often hard to find a good place to park.

    Thanks for the nice post!

Up until the early 70's many drivers wore a uniform or dressed in clothes similar to a uniform.
I've always wore boots, jeans and collared shirt the last 40 years, not the same ones:D

    roadtech and 2old Thank this.
