I,m 30 and I am looking into truck training.I have lots of driving experience, no criminal record and a clean driving record but I've never had my own insurance.I don't have a car right now but when I did it was insured under my dads name.I have two brothers that let me use their cars, so I still drive sometimes.I feel like I'm a good driver. Is it possible for me to get accepted into a truck training school like this and get a job?, or do I need to get a car insured under my name first to verify driving experience?
Driving experience before starting training

As long as you have a regular drivers license you will be ok. I had 3 guys that were homeless that were getting the CDL to get off the streets.

We don't own a car and my bf went through school and is driving. Owning a vehicle doesn't show driving experience at all. That's why your driving record is attached to your license not anything else.

I doubt that any company would know if you currently own a vehicle or have ever owned a vehicle. They will need to know your driving record and criminal record. They may ask how long you have lived at your current address and if less than perhaps 5 years what your prior address was.

Matters not. Valid license and pulse are the main thing.
