The Louisville yard is my home parking location. It's mostly a warehouse but there's a big section that SNI uses as a drop lot. A couple other companies drop trailers there too. They have a restroom and a Coke machine but you can't stay in your truck for a break.

So you can leave your truck there but can't stay in your truck there?russellkanning Thanks this.

with that many drop yards do you still get the miles?I know when I was at werner every load I had to drop at a yard then wait hrs for the next load.
-
They send you over to the flea market right down the street. Just drop your trailer at the yard and then bobtail over. Not the safest neighborhood, another Schneider driver parked next to me and told me "not to worry, we'll be safe here" right before he flashed his glock at me.Waggledaddy, russellkanning, White_Knuckle_Newbie and 3 others Thank this.

I've never needed to stay in my truck there. If I'm gonna be there when it's time to shut down, I just get in my car and head home.

I was at that Louisville place once, i think. I had gone to a drop lot at a factory/warehouse with a fleamarket next to it. Dropped my relay then had to wait a few hours for the relay I was picking up. A security guy came up after a few hours to make sure I wasn't sleeping in the truck. Said it looked like I had the curtains closed on the security camera. Didn't tell me to leave though.
stevep1977 Thanks this. -
Oops. Double post due to cell phone lag.

All this info is available and more in the drivers resource guide. Every driver should have that guide with them.
drvrtech77 and 91B20H8 Thank this. -
Should being the keyword.

Except that guide is woefully out of date. The last update was back in 2012.
