Please post the company's name so we all know not to work for those scum bags. Am not going to lie it would have been hard for me to drop what I'm doing on my day off and drive 30 minutes each way to the clinic and deal with their bs. It isn't like we get to many days off to begin with.. next time play the trucking game with em and tell em that day don't count as home time and get a extra 34 at the house, they may be willing to deal a little if it's costing them money...and to the nay Sayers companies will "inform" you of your random when it convienat for them. They have so many to do in x amount of time. Doesn't HAVE to be right this second.

But to answer your question on what to do, spend the money and lawyer up and try and fight it. You don't have anything to loose. Your cdl is dead in the water and even if your complete the rehab bs course most companies won't hire you. There's a few out there that hire (damaged) drivers, but you don't want to work there, they know they have you by the nads cause anybody else won't hire you and really really take advantage of the situation.

@coexist
1) Find an employment lawyer. Google search (your state) bar association find a lawyer. If you are unemployed, Google search (your state) bar association pro bono. If you still cannot find a lawyer, try calling personal injury attorneys - or even visiting their offices. Personal injury attorneys seem to know lots of other lawyers.
2) You wrote you had no way to get to the drug test site? What does that mean? Had you been drinking, thereby making it unsafe for you to drive? Were you on vacation more than two hours away from the drug test site? (In my opinion, these are very excuses.) When you told your employer you had no way to get there, did they offer to provide transportation?G13Tomcat Thanks this. -

Looks like it would have been less inconvienant to just interupt whatever you were doing at home that was important enough to ruin your career. It amazes me the stupid things people will do then cry about the concequences.MJ1657 Thanks this. -
